Wonderful peaceful place. 2 catch and release fishing ponds , clean showers and laundry mat , a fenced in doggy area BUT it Needs a playground for children. There is not much for children to do & WI-FI signal is terrible
Large park with spotless private bath/shower rooms, clubhouse, ponds for fishing, laundry, free WiFi, and soon to be home to the RV Inspectors School. Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Only drawback is very few trees (no shade)
Under new management the week we stayed. Dog park for small dogs need to have gate lowered. Mine escaped.
My wife Charlotte and I came to Athens in April for a short stay to ride out the weather before headed out west for the summer. Not sure where to stay we chose the Texan RV Park and so glad we did. The park is very quite, big spaces, and the staff George, Jim, Mary, and Judy are sweet and kind people willing to assist in any way the can to make our stay a good one. We have enjoyed our stay and have plans to return in September to spend the winter in a great park.
Friendly staff, amazing clean bathrooms, wide open green spaces, loved the ponds and the gazebo deck to sit out on, feed the terrapins and the massive grandfather catfish! 1 negative I think in the summer this place would be blazing hot as there are few trees / shade around the short-term pitches. Definitely great for the fall & Spring though. Close to the highway, so some noise but not enough to bother us. Excellent. Will stay there again.
