Saved my life! Nurses were unbelievable, they could not have been better! My Cardiologist was not as good. She was too busy to see me or to return phone calls after returning home. But I am still thankful of this Great Hospital and staff. Thank You!
Drive the extra miles to Tyler!!!! Not only will it be faster, but a priority in the Emergency Room isn't Joe Bob's finger got sprained (which really happened and he was rushed through).
Apparently, my boyfriend wasn't worthy of a chair, at all.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!
After 3 hours of writhing and screaming in level 10 pain...someone finally graced us with their presence. Had to beg for a pillow after finally getting a bed after 1.5 hours.
At one of the worst times in my life, ETMC Athens definately changed my outlook on life and the staff and doctors went above and beyond to make me comfortable and helping me understand my situation, along with solutions to ensure my longevity!!! Regardless of their past, they have definately improved in multiple areas of service, hospitality, and care for their patients!!! I want to give a personal thank you to all of the doctors and staff that helped me!! God bless ETMC and the people who keep it going!!! Thank you!!!!
I run a business. I am all about customer service. Not only was there no concern for my health (I was, "in the que or on the list and it wasn't my turn"), I have been through hell and back, they were pushing the train. I had kidney stones, again, the kind that feel like they're tearing your body in half. They drugged the heck out of me once they realized I hate meds and morphine didn't work.
The doctor was more interested in his phone than anything with me, although my pain merited $7550 in radiology tests. Not only did I almost black out from pain and had to beg for help, but I just got a bill for $8055, after insurance. Guess who has Great Insurance, I Do! Now I get to fight with the billing department, which I can only imagine is as brilliant and helpful as the rest of them.
I had to visit the ER on Friday. I want to give a 5 star about out to CT Tech Quinn!! She put me at ease, was able to get my IV in quick and easy when the nurse was not able to, she had a great sense of humor, patiently and accurately explained to me the procedure and what to expect, and really perked me up in my nervousness and fear. THANK YOU QUINN!!
I just want to say that ETMC Athens saved my husbands life! He had blood clots in his leg and lung. They have been so good to us and really on top of things! All of his drs and nurses have been amazing! Big thank you to ER nurse Jessica. She helped to calm and comfort us. Bless yall!
First, I've been fight training for 12 years, had a baby, had multiple surgeries, including almost dying from cancer and hernia repair...I am tougher than nails!!!
I recommend you steer clear from this joke of a hospital.
